Between the beginning of July and mid-December you, and 20+ other companies, contributed significantly to our ability to list and successfully sell Mom and Dad's home of 32+ years! You may recall Mom had fallen and fractured her hip, and Dad had 6 different hospital emergency room admissions between the end of June and November.  Without your gracious, caring, responsive help, and your willingness to quickly resolve our immediate needs- all with a smile and professionalism unparalleled, we would not have been able to successfully sell Mom and Dad's home.  They are now happily settled in a wonderful independent living apartment, and even took their 14 year old Border Collie with them :-)

I know all too often the vast majority of feedback you receive from customers is when something goes wrong or they're not satisfied for whatever reason.

This is not one of those letters.

Instead, this letter is quite the opposite.  I wanted to let you know about the consistently outstanding service we receive from your employee Adam Isaacson.  Adam is always extremely prompt in responding to our calls at any time of day or night, he approaches challenging jobs with good humor and a great attitude, and is professional and extremely efficient in his work.  

Our company owns and manages over 6 million square feet of commercial property located across the country, and I can honestly say in my many dealings with vendors of all types and size, that Adam truly is one of the best and you are very lucky to have someone of his caliber working for and representing Maples.

Adam did not solicit this letter in any way, and he'd probably be embarrassed if he knew I sent this.  I just appreciate how difficult it is to find and retain good employees, and thought you should know just how highly I think of Adam.

Hi:

I just wanted to thank you for the good service we received on Thursday August 11, 2011.  When I called I was in a panic.  The plumber we had used in the past is no longer in business (so I found out on Thursday).  When I called for an appointment, I was treated with consideration and politeness on the phone.  Then, I was able to get an appointment for someone to come to Ferndale, in just a couple of hours.  My hot water heater had died and I had company arriving in a few hours to stay the weekend and enjoy the Humboldt County Fair.  By 2 pm, I had a new 50 gal water heater installed and ready to use.  Adam was very efficient and helpful.  To be honest - I suppose I may have been able to save a couple of dollars if I had shopped around more but, your staff was so nice and so efficient, I don't really care.  I got what I needed in a timely manner.  I will be calling you, again, in the future for our plumbing needs.  Thanks again. I want to extend a special thank you to your guys who helped me on Harris Street about a week ago. 

I was on my way to the gas station in my wife's vintage 1970 Nova when it ran out of gas in traffic at Harris & S.  I started to make cell phone calls to get some help as numerous cars passed me.  After a few minutes one of your MapleService trucks pulled in behind me and the driver hopped out and helped me push the Nova out of traffic.  He even made a call for another MapleService employee to bring out some gas. 

You guys are great.  I did not get names of the people who helped so please pass this note around.

Dale, when the city inspector came out to the house for the gas pressure test, he spoke very highly of MapleService. This city inspector has the utmost respect for your crew and your company.

Curtis is an exceptional person. He was very professional and efficient in his work. Curtis was very precise and patient in explaining the final hook-up. This really took a lot of anxiety and questions off my mind, as to what will be going on. And when all was done, the next day Curtis came back to uncap and light the furnace pilot light. This is something that the PG&E person would not do. Dale, what a difference in work ethics in comparison to your people, like Curtis. Once again I want to thank you for all your support and help. It really was a pleasant experience working with you. If need arises in the future, I will call you for your services.

Thank you for sending Scott Levering out to check on the plumbing. My initial request was to get an estimate on cost but our five families insisted that I get the work done before delaying any longer. These families with their children visit throughout the year and wanted the plumbing upgraded. Now they have no reason to comment other than to say that the work was done correctly and efficiently. Scott also checked the furnace system and replaced the filters.

It was our pleasure to have your company do water line repair work at our home on 4/19 to 4/22/04. The experience began on 12/25/03 when we had plumbing problems with major backup into our downstairs bathroom. I looked in the yellow pages, found your ad and called. Adam returned our call. I assured him he did not need to come out as it was Christmas, but could he come the next morning as early as possible as we had to drive to Sacramento airport as our daughter, active Navy, had to return to her base as her leave was up. Adam came, cleared the pipes and we made it to Sacramento in time for Lesley’s flight to Pax River NAS. Adam then returned to give us an estimate on our needed repair work.

We cannot express in words the wonderful job this young man did. He was so polite, courteous and professional while working at our home. In fact 2 other young men, Curtis and I do not know the other young man’s name, came by to help out at times. The entire crew was wonderful.

We called one evening with drain problems and a young man named Adam was the one that responded to our call. He was here very soon after the call and didn’t leave until around 10:30 p.m. I must tell you that he was outstanding in finding the problem and resolving the problem. He was very businesslike and yet personable. I’m sure he had put in a full day already and yet was responding as if ours was the first job of the day. When someone like Adam does such a great job, I feel it is important not only for the customer to acknowledge a job well done, but also for the company involved to know that they can appreciate an employee representing their business in such a way that customers like us. We are writing to let you know how very pleased we are with the service we received.  Your Service Technicians, Gary Nelson and his partner, are extremely knowledgeable and efficient. They completed the extremely difficult task of replacing the entire hot and cold water lines in our home, all in one long day – with excellent results.

Around last November, we began to notice our gas and electric bill had begun to increase at an alarming rate. Having retired from PG&E a number of years ago, I was hesitant to complain of a high bill right at the time they were advertising the fact that their rates were going to increase dramatically. But when our February bill reached $553.49 (and this is with a 25% employee discount), we had to complain. Because $500.83 of the bill was from gas usage (357 therms), a Gas Serviceman came to inspect the meter but found nothing wrong.

The only gas appliances we have are the central heater, and the hot water tank. Since we had just had a new element put on the water tank, we bought an insert for our fireplace. This helped a little, but our gas usage still cost $362.12 (287 terms) in March. That’s when we called MapleService, on March 6. Your technicians spent a lot of time going over almost every inch of the water lines, and discovered a leak in the hot water lines imbedded in cement. They came the next day, early, and stayed late, completing the job in one day.

We were very pleased when we received our April bill and found we had used only 31 therms of gas ($30.14), and to prove this was not a fluke, our May bill showed usage of only 30 therms ($25.50).

To Whom It May Concern:

Yesterday, we received a notice from the City of Eureka that our water consumption was exceedingly high this month and that we should check for leaks. When my husband went out to the water meter, he realized we did have a leak with all the water he found. We contacted a local plumber (not your company) at 3:00 p.m. who said he would have one of his men out shortly. Whoever was being sent to check our problem never did arrive at our house.

At 9:00 p.m., I contacted Gary Crnich, our Head of Maintenance at Freshwater School, who informed me that I should contact your company. When I called, I quickly received a return call from your employee, Gary, who was very pleasant and asked about the problem and said he could come right out if we wanted. By then we had the water turned off and asked him if it would work with him to do it today (Saturday). He said he had another appointment at 9:00 a.m. this morning but would come over right after that appointment. By 9:45 a.m. he was here. He immediately found out what the problem was, got the parts, and made the repairs. My husband was even able to get two other faucets looked at and repaired while we had Gary here.

We commend Gary for his pleasant manner and way of explaining the problem to us and for also taking the time to go the extra mile with our minor problems. We need more people in our work world as kind, generous, and patient as this young man was with us. Thank you, Gary, for a job well done. We will certainly call Maples Plumbing “first” the next time we need plumbing work done.

The service I received from your company is beyond compare. My husband started working with Einar to re-do our two bathrooms. Shortly after signing contracts with the cabinet maker and granite supplier, my husband suddenly died of a heart attack.

I want to thank your service technician, Einar Prado, for guest service in replacing our water heater earlier this month. I found him to be courteous and friendly in his attitude, even though I spoke with him early in the morning. He clearly explained the options we had (repair vs. replace) and made his recommendation to replace it, without giving me a “hard-sell”. Once I had made the decision to replace, he had the old heater out, and a new one delivered and installed in just a few hours. He was even quicker than he estimated!

To Whom It May Concern:

I would like to take this moment to compliment Zachary Peterson, Service Technician who was sent to our house today to help with a puzzling problem with our new dryer, which on occasion, seemed to be overheating and left our house with a “burning smell”. Turns out the problem at this point seemed not to be with the dyer, but with our venting. We had a vent cleaner here prior to our putting in the new dryer; the sales staff at the company where we purchased the new washer and dryer set had recommended this gentleman. The vent-cleaner did not have the skills and the talent that Zachary did for troubleshooting the problem. It seems there was a splitting of the venting system very close to the outside wall and a large lump of lint at about 2’ in from the outside wall. The lump of lint was bypassable with a flexible pole, but was preventing the escape of much of the hot air and “new” linting. Zachary was able to take off the cover to the outside opening, reach in and pull out the lint; he bent a copper pipe and cleaned the tubing a short distance in. At this point he was able to see clear through to the inside of the house and we had success in getting the hot dryer air to vent out the approximately 12 feet to the outside wall.

I wanted to let you know that we are very pleased with his skills and the service he provide to us. We would like to once again thank Zachary for excellent service, and though we hope not to have any problems with our home in the future, if we do, I hope he will be sent repairs and servicing. If it were up to me to give him an increase of salary, I’d add 10% and a pizza party.

I would also like to say that the young lady who assisted me when I called in to schedule the appointment was also delightful.
